     If It Ain't Broke, Break It

   The title of this workshop is taken from a book written by R.J.
   Kriegal and L. Patler (1991). The title is great, because it takes a
   common phrase used repeatedly as a mantra and rewrites it. You always
   hear "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." The authors' point, however,
   is that simply maintaining the status quo is a recipe for disaster.
   Someone is always looking for a better, quicker, cheaper way to do
   what you are doing. If you choose to ignore this fact, for whatever
   reason, you will meet change on change's term, instead of on your
   terms.
