David Shulman in May 10th JERUSLAME REPORT

     David Shulman showed me that he's in a large, two-page spread in the May
10, 1999 JERUSALEM REPORT, on pages 46-47.  It's titled "The Word Sleuth."
     I haven't yet heard back from the Chicago Tribune or the Chicago
Sun-Times about my Sunday e-mail corrections, so it's safe to say that I
won't lecture at the Chicago MLA in December.  I'll probably make other
millennium plans today.
     About that cabbie--yes, he's not up on etymology, but what makes it sad
is that HIS OP-ED PAGE EDITORS DON'T HAVE A CLUE, EITHER!  As another
example, look at the below.  I told the Atlanta Constitution that I had a
bill signed by the Mayor--heck, I was even in the junior Morris's column.  I
guess they thought I was making it up.
