I am looking for the origin of a term which I suspect to be regional to
Oklahoma, Texas, and/or Missouri.  The word is larrupin' , possibly spelled
larruping or larrupun.  It means "tasty."  I have only found larrup, a verb
meaning to thrash or beat, in dictionaries.  This word is used in a novel
published in 1955 but is set in 1890.  The term larrupin' is still used today
by people in Oklahoma.  Thank you for your help.
