Dear list members:
I have in-laws from Louisiana who say "whenever" where I, and most people I
know, would say "when." Example: Whenever I was a kid, we went fishing
with my grandpa. Has anyone run across this before?
Also, I never heard the pronunciation of Saturday as "Saer-day" until I
moved to New England. Is that considered part of a Western New England
accent?
Thanks,
