I wonder if this is akin to VBE's "steady," as in , "She steady working,"
meaning, essentially, "without cessation or decrease in speed or enthusiasm."
Unlike "busy" in South African English, the regulating operator, "steady,"
is used not just with stative verb, but with others as well. In fact, I've
sometimes heard steady and busy used unterchangeably, as in "She busy
looking," and "She steady looking."
