        My congratulations to Jesse, both on the birth of his
daughter and on his new job.  The congratulations on the baby is
wholehearted -- I have had a daughter and a son and can say that
either is acceptable.  My feelings about the new job is not unmixed,
however.  An excellent step by the OED, but what does it mean for the
future of vol. 3 of RHHDAS?
