Again, I just sent a reply to the list which asked for plain, styled, or
plain & styled HTML. A student of mine told me to hit the third option,
but I'm still wondering if everybody can read it when I do that. Problems?

It's not just that. EVERYONE can read plain text. HTML causes some readers
(electronic and human) to choke, and produces large amounts of crud on the
screen, which is just unnecessary in correspondence like ours.

I don't know what your reader means by "styled" as opposed to "plain", but
"plain and styled HTML" amounts to sending the same message twice: once plain,
and once with all that window dressing to tell a reader that handles HTML, "this
is plain, and that is plain, and here there's a line break, and, oh, yeah,
that's plain too, and .... Oh, and because this is the signature make it bright
blue"... or something like that. Just choose "plain". Please.
