Like Fred Shapiro, I, too, was misquoted here, but these machines make it
all too easy to get the fibers of these threads tangled.   Ron makes a good
point: that the expression of rage may be red, white or blue, depending on
the individual's physiology.
 I didn't mean by my original suggestion that the reader unfamiliar with
/livid/ would actually think it meant /vivid/, only that /vivid/ and,
perhaps, /lively/  would lend it a sort of aura --a brightness-- that would
stick in the mind.  More
LED-ness than LCD-ness, so to speak.
