MURPHY'S LAW (continued)

   I've been trying to check POPULAR MECHANICS and POPULAR SCIENCE MONTHLY
from the 1950s for stuff on this.  I might catch an article, and these
popular publications were filled with advertisements that used the latest
slang.  Unfortunately, the NYPL has virtually no evening hours, I work, and
I've been finishing my food stuff.
   The earliest remains "Reilly's Law" in ASTOUNDING (AMAZING) SCIENCE
FICTION, followed by the cartoon "Murphy's Law" in the AVIATION MECHANICS
BULLETIN, both in 1955.
   I have a plane to Australia at 6 p.m. Sunday.  Anybody out there not
gotten tipped yet?
