ALLAN METCALF'S NEW BOOK (continued)

   I didn't reprint it here, but the Word Detective Evan Morris reviewed the book and gave it a rave.  Michael Quinion reviewed it on Amazon.com and gave it a rave.  Safire is pretty much alone in not mentioning it.
   Allan Metcalf is the nicest guy you'll ever want to meet.  He's worked extremely hard for this organization.  His book should be on EVERYBODY'S "Gifts o' Gab" list.
