If you're racing around trying to find The Perfect Thing for a fellow
linguaphile, here's a hint: a set of refrigerator-magnet proverbs that are
divisible in interesting ways so as to generate things like the title of
the collection: "A rolling stone killed the cat". There are 75 proverbs in
all, marketed by Caryco Magnets in Seattle (#ME1096OW probably means they
were invented/marketed in 10/96 with the topic MEOW).
e.g.:
Dead men make good neighbors.
A bird in the hand moves in mysterious ways.
The early bird can't win them all.
