I've always been struck by when I've (not THAT infrequently heard it) is
the pronunciation of 'transition' as "tran-cision" (as in 'incision' or
'decision').  Similar to some of the late Vicki Fromkin's collection of
speech errors in that the voicing features, rather than the entire
segments, are metathesized.
