New York Accent

Dear friends
I'm a third year student of Moscow State University.I'm interested in phonetics and the subject of my course paper is the New York Accent.
I've chosen this because it is challenging - our University has nothing concerning the NY Accent.I'm at a loss now.Can you help me in any possible way?
