I think it sorta claims to, in the sense that any distinction between the
sexes is neutralized or ignored:  one size fits all.  Thus there is only
sex, and its members are invited to use the hair salon or bathroom.  Not
THAT different from the idea behind "uniform", which isn't one form but a
form that fits one and all without distinction.  of course, Joseph
McCollum's reading above would also be a priori possible, ceteris paribus.
