I asked my Research Assistant, Miss Polly Seemy, and she confirms my
impression that "aspirated /t/" is an old-fashioned term for "snorted
marijuana".

Then she reminded me of Bluebeard's raid on her great-grandfather's
farm.  He had his aspirated, not to mention all of his horses. Nobody
said anything about tea.
