Bubbler [Was Re: I'm looking for a booklet]

I used _bubbler_ regularly as a child in SE Michigan, S of Detroit, and I also heard it N of Flint from local natives.  That was in the late 40s and early 50s.  Then I went to high school in Milwaukee, where, of course, I still ran into it.

I first met _bubbler_ for 'water fountain' when I moved from Ohio to
Andover, MA in 1969 (that's in Eastern MA). I nver heard it again, until I
went to Milwaukee in 1982 for graduate school. I have now lived in Chicago
for 15+ years and have never heard it here.
