DaimlerChrysler is advertising its Smart car as a "world car." The Toyota Corolla and the Ford Escort also made "world car" claims. On the About.com site, the question of what is a "world car" was raised.
Don't people drive on different sides of the road in different countries of the world? How can the same car fit both city and highway?
"World car" is probably from the same folks who gave you "unisex."
