"Haligonian" is intriguing. I thought it was based on some Latin stem related to
"Halifax." Depends on what the Latin word for "Halifax" is. A common Latin suffix
for this purpose is -ensis, as in "Halicyensis" adj. meaning "having to do with
the city of Halicyae in Sicily," the inhabitants of the city being "Halicyenses"
(pl.).
