Fiction usage?

no, from the medical literature, in particular the literature on
aphasia/dementia/etc.  normals are contrasted with patients/
victims/sufferers (or some more specific term, like "aphasic", if such
a term exists).  (if i pointed out that there are no good neutral
terms here in english, i would be like the millionth person to say
so.)
