gyre and gimble

[David Bergdahl]

William Butler Yeats used [g} for "Turning and turning in the widening
gyre" in his "The Second Coming" according to David Daitches' note in
the 1962 edition of the Norton Anthology of English Lit.  Gyre was a
favorite Yeatsian word.
