Wall Street Sayings (continued)

Barry recently posted the following nugget:

 4-11-1999, SOUTH CHINA MORNING POST, pg. 3--It proves an old Wall
Street saying--when you rob a whorehouse, take the piano player, too,
because no one is entirely innocent.

It seems that that this maxim would make more sense if it were "When
you [the police] RAID a whorehouse, take the piano player too. . . .

I personally can accept the equation Wall Street = Whore House and
Broker = Piano Player, but what do the old Wall Streeters mean by
this motto?
