Thanks for this.  I will definitely try to send an abstract and schedule
myself to attend the conference.  I can tell you now that the paper will
have to do with my research into American placename origins in connection
with a dictionary I am planning to do.

Long time no see.  Hope you are doing well.  I am now back to working
independently, having left Oxford in Feb.  I have revived my company from
pre-OUP, Dictionary & Reference Specialists (DRS).  It really is just me,
but you have to have a business name.  I am doing freelance lexicography and
"authoring" dictionaries.  All is well, though I am still seeking out more
projects.

I will be attending MLA this Dec, so maybe see you there?
