     METRO is a freebie paper in Philadelphia.  It might come to New York
City, or a town near you.  It looks like USA TODAY lite.
    From 16 October 2000, pg. 1 box:

 Down round: When the latest round of funding is at a lower valuation than
the previous one.
 Drive-by VC: They'll give money but no advice or other kinds of support.
 T-Rex funds: Funds that only invest in big deals.
 P2P: path to profitability.

(It appears that the WSJ article is "A Devil's Dictionary of Financing,"
6-12-2000, pg. C13.  Other terms are "T-round," "roll-up," "serial
entrepreneurs," and "burn rate."--ed.)
