The EAST VILLAGE OTHER (EVO) was a spin-off of sorts of the VILLAGE VOICE,
from 1965 to about 1972. John Wilcock helped to found both papers. Dan
Rattiner (who started DAN'S PAPERS in the Hamptons) also wrote for EVO.

October 1965, EAST VILLAGE OTHER, pg. 2, col. 3--As soon as they legalize
"pornies" I'll be the first producer to hit the neighborhood theatres with my
now in progress epic film entitled "Mongolian Cluster Fuck!"
(RHHDAS has "cluster fuck" from 1966. "Mongolian cluster fuck" is one of the
terms at www.georgecarlin.com/dirty/groupsex.html. OED _must_ have
Mongolian!!--ed.)

November 1965, EAST VILLAGE OTHER, pg. 8, "Captain High" cartoon:
Panel 14: MEANWHILE TWO *WAISTERS TALK WAITING BY A PAY PHONE
"..AND THERE SHE WAS WITH HIM IN THE ACT OF 86!"
"??? YOU MEAN SIXTY-NINE."
* HIGHER THAN HIPSTERS
Panel 15:
"NO, NO! 86! YOU KNOW, LIKE IN SCHOOL WHEN..."
"WHEN?"
Panel 16:
"YOU RAISE YOUR HAND TO GO NUMBER FIVE?"
"WOW!"

March 1-15, 1966, EAST VILLAGE OTHER, pg. 3, col. 1--"I have found the sound
of one hand clapping," Dali said. "It's the sound of the helicopters landing
on the Pan Am Building."
(col. 2--ed.) "Dali invented Happenings."

March 1-15, 1966, EAST VILLAGE OTHER, pg. 6, col. 1--It's a mixed bag, but
each one looks 1000% better than the last.
(I previously posted "110%." I didn't find "1000%" in the RHHDAS. The Dow
Jones database has the NEW YORK TIMES, 7-30-1972, with McGovern backing
Eagleton for VP "1000%"--ed.)

March 1-15, 1966, EAST VILLAGE OTHER, pg. 13, col. 1--...the nuclear

all effective. (Not called "peace symbol" here--ed.)

March 15-April 1, 1966, EAST VILLAGE OTHER, pg. 4, col. 1--...ever ready to
"take a trip," mentally or physically. (...) ...into the exploration of LSD,
which everybody colloquially refers to as "acid." (Pot is currently called
"dope.")
