terms (not only) for CA

To a Northwesterner, "Inland Empire" means the part of the Pacific
Northwest that lies east of the Cascade Range--i.e., central and eastern
Oregon and Washington, and all of Idaho.  At least it used to mean that.  I
haven't heard it in awhile.  This is the first I've heard of the term being
used to describe a part of California.
