Assistant Professor.  Ten-month tenure-track position. Georgia College &
State University, the Public Liberal Arts University of Georgia, seeks a
Ph.D. in English linguistics to teach introductory linguistics,
history/structure of English, and composition, and to share in preparation
of secondary-level English teachers.  Interest and experience in
sociolinguistics, syntax, theory, and English language pedagogy useful.
Effective teaching, scholarly activity and university/community service
required for promotion and tenure. Interests in teaching interdisciplinary
courses and faculty-student collaboration in and beyond the classroom are
highly desirable.  MLA and LSA interviews possible.  Send letter, cv, copies
of transcripts (official transcripts required prior to appointment), and
