Without consulting Pfizer, I would hazard a guess that the name was
created to play on the words "Vitality" and "Niagara" or similar sounding
words. This is just a guess though. I seriously doubt it comes from an
existing foreign word per se. Branding companies make a killing in
devising trade names for clients. Although some of the words are really
stupid, some of them are sheer brilliance.
