"Windy City" item for the Chicago Tribune

Shortly before Barry left on his latest trip,I wrote to him
suggesting he prepare an item on "Windy City" for my _Comments on
Etymology_. Items to newspapers have the best chance of acceptance if
they're submitted as a short letter with an enclosed scholarly
treatment to back up the assertions. He replied that he'll consider
it.

Perhaps we'll be able to send Don Wycliff a "Windy City"
submission in two months or so. Maybe it will be longer, but this
task is doable.
