Terminal = depot = station in my experience;
however, Atlanta used to have two stations,
THE TERMINAL STATION and
THE UNION STATION;  so going to
"the Terminal" meant a specific station.

The Army also used to have an
ATLANTA GENERAL DEPOT
[DEHP-oh].
