Godwin's Law, named after Mike Godwin, well-known cyberspace rights
lawyer.

The law states:

"As an online discussion grows, the probability of a comparison with the
Nazis and/or Hitler approaches one."

Usually associated with USENET, but I think Godwin coined it on The Well
BBS.
