   Greetings from a free kiosk in this Riga hotel.

STALIN CAKE--a wedding cake style of architecture from Stalinist times.  Riga has one such building; there are about 12 total.  The star is missing from the top here.

BALALAIKA--a modern style of suspension bridge that resembles the musical instrument.  Riga has one bridge; there are about seven total.  Maybe other countries nickname it after other, native instruments?
