   David Shulman tells me that the OED segment will be on 60 MINUTES II this Tuesday.  It'll be old, unless there's new Sheidlower footage.

OPERA CREAMS (1922)

   Before I forget: "opera creams" were discussed here last year.
   OUR CANDY RECIPES (MacMillan Co., NY, 1922) by May B. Van Arsdale, Day Monroe, and Mary I. Barber, has a discussion of "operas" on page 50, from "light operas" to "grand operas" (page 51) and "brown sugar operas"
(page 52).
   DARE has "opera drop" only, and that from 1992.
