OK, last roundup.

BOOB TUBE
RHHDAS cites a book published in 1963.
Probably earlier is Red Smith's column in the European edition (there was a newspaper strike) of the NEW YORK HERALD TRIBUNE, 4 January 1963, pg. 9, cols. 1-2, "Boob Tube." He was watching the college bowl games on tv and was writing about the boob officials.

EAT FOR BREAKFAST
From the NEW YORK HERALD TRIBUNE, 19 March 1963, pg. 4, col. 2:
Charles Liston, whom Clay proposes to vanquish as champion, eats poets for breakfast.
(I didn't see anything in the RHHDAS for this sense, as in, "he'll eat 'em up, and in his lightest meal, yet"--ed.)

QUICHE LORRAINE, CHERRIES JUBILEE
Grant Barrett might want to check out these as well. See also the LAROUSSE on gastronomy.
QUICHE A LA LORRAINE (facon paysanne)--POT-AU-FEU, 1903, pg. 65.
CERISES JUBILE--POT-AU-FEU, 1911, pg. 171.
