Why not yon-yonder, for consistency?  I seem to recall that when I
was studying intro Swahili we translated the three-way distinction in
that language by "this"/"that"/"yon" and "here"/"there"/"yonder", but
with the consciousness that this isn't modern English we're talking
about.  To my mind, it's a lot like glossing Fr. "tu" or Ger. "du" as
'thou'.
