FWIW, a resident of my town has the last name Dunkus and is nicknamed "Slam". The local newspaper, _Rolla Daily News_, July 27, 2000, Section H, p.1, shows a picture of Mr. Dunkus sitting on a motorcycle, with the words just below: 'Bill "Slam" Dunkus, owner of Interstate Motorcycles, will help put you in the saddle of one of these big machines.' ---Gerald Cohen
