        "Payday loan" seems to have blossomed in popularity in the last
three years.  The earliest cite I've seen is from 1985:  "Beauclair Finance
made small "payday" loans which legally earned large interest rates, Green
said."  Driskill, "Examiner:  Fidelity Bankruptcy Needs to be Consolidated,"
The Journal Record (Oklahoma City), Sept. 24, 1985.
