amber/yellow lights

My Brooklyn-born father (1909-2000) always used amber while my Brooklyn-born
mother (1910-1996) used yellow.  Both grew up in Bed-Sty not far from each
other, so I doubt if it's geographical.  I'd look in the MVB driver's test
pamphlets or state laws.
