RAIN CHECK: The first citation of 1884 was found by David Shulman.
LADIES DAY: The first citation of 1883 was found by David Shulman. Peter Tamony found an 1884 citation. Barry Popik found an 1886 citation that states: "'Ladies' Day' is now six years of age."
