   About seven hours ago there was a violent shaking, like the ceiling was going to fall on me.  I went downstairs, and the doorman said a few other people reported it.  I haven't heard anything on the news.
   Just another day in New York.

   The RHHDAS has 1949.
   From EL BURRO, the humor magazine of UTEP (although this was certainly borrowed from elsewhere), November 1947, pg. 1, col. 3:

He:  D. D. T.?
She:  Yeah--drop dead twice!

(As I said, EL BURRO didn't look like it had original stuff--ed.)
