Hello everyone, I'm back from a long hiatus from the list, attempting to
simplify my life. Guess that means I'm ready to complicate it a bit
with more email now, or maybe just that I've missed y'all. anyway, I
have a question:
what do you call a phrase that is made-up from the letters of a word,
sometimes as a folk etymology? a student wrote as an example of acronym
TEAM, Together Everyone Achieves More. Is there a name for this?
thanks, Ellen
