I'm curious as to your evidence that "yo" is from Spanish.  Also, which
dialect of Spanish?  In the Castilian and New World dialects, "yo" means "I"
and the word for "yes" is "si" (with an acute accent over the "i", so
distinguish it from "si" meaning "if".)
