Google has 33 hits for "chimry" and 27 hits for "Huckleberry, cherry or lime". Of the 33 hits, 32 are from sites giving the Chordettes' text as "Huckleberry, chimry or lime", and one is an anagram for "myrrhic". All the 27 are from the song text.

What is "chimry"? I cannot find the word anywhere. Is it not more probable that the misheard word has propagated itself, as often happens on the Internet? Many of the sites with "chimry" are from countries that do not have English as their mother tongue
