MOGEN DOVID

   From THE MENORAH, February 1894, pg. 124:

   With this, he laid Koppel's _Mogen Dovid_ on the table;they had not
noticed during the conversation that he had held it in his hands. (...)
   In Auschel's soul there dawned a different light than the one which rises
in the east, toward which the big inscription of "_Misrach_" on the _Mogen
Dovid_ points.

(OED cites the JEWISH ENCYCLOPEDIA of 1904...The story is "At the Plow" by
Leopold Kompert (1822-1886), translated by Rose Schulhoefer--ed.)

   Not in OED at all.  Not in the CASSELL DICTIONARY OF SLANG.

hot water from babyhood to manhood. (...)
