Southern Illinois (below I-64, not below 1-80 as some believe) uses "soda" or
"sodie pop".  Interestingly, because of the university, there is a massive
amount of chicago "pop" kids.  Most of them give up and start calling it
"soda".  I'm a "sodie pop" guy, myself.

My nephews, who might be too young for this to matter, are growing up in
Southeast Missouri and use "coke" for everything.
