My wife is an OB-Gyn nurse, and she always says /oh bee jin/ or occasionally
spells it out /oh bee jee wai en/.  I've never heard a two-syllable version
such as /ahb jin/.

Just remember that a certain Jedi Knight was married to a midwife, the famous
Obi-Gyn Kenobi
