One paragraph struck me as worth looking into:

I don't have the newest Collin's on my shelf yet.  A quick check of
MW10 shows these dates, however.

cryogenic...1896
suitcase...1897
floosie...1911

The prognostications for MVVD must be taken tongue-in-cheek.
