The Urft River, a tributary of the Rur (a tributary of the Maas), appears
to arise near Schmidtheim -- apparently near Dahlem, just southwest of
Euskirchen (in western Germany). The river's name was given as "Urfeda" in
1075 according to one Web page. I can't immediately make anything of
"Urfeda" myself.
