Are you familiar with _Sturtevant's Edible Plants of the World_ edited by
U.P. Hedrick? The Dover edition of 1972 is a reprint of a 1919 work. The
part on bananas is six pages and references over 60 earlier works. If you
haven't checked this book, Barry, it should be right up your alley.
