transitivity of "expire" (fwd)

I thought this would be of interest to the list. I wonder if it's ever
used in a transitive active construction?

explains what various codes mean when attached to the name of a
student who has registered for a particular course:

EX      The student's record has been expired.

Has anyone encountered 'expire' in the passive elsewhere??
