Not too be too harsh, but there is also the chance, especially in
one's own area, that "missed noticing" is also very likely. People in
Michigan don't notice the Northern Cities Chain Shift, but us
hillbillies who come here (and East Coasters as well I hear tell)
find that it sticks out like a sore tongue.
